Growth is measured by the percentage change in employment between the annual average of 2016 and 2017. Headlight Data ranks employment growth for the 53 largest metros (1,000,000+ people) in the U.S. In 2017, U.S. employment grew 1.4%. Among large metros, the highest growth is found in Nashville (3.5%). Just in the last week, Amazon announced a plan to establish 5,000 new jobs in Tennessee!
